CNC-Equipped Precision Patterns
At SICAST, our in-house, CNC-equipped Pattern Shop plays a critical role in ensuring the dimensional accuracy, repeatability, and quality of every casting we produce. By combining craftsmanship with advanced CNC machining, we manufacture high-precision patterns that meet the complex requirements of diverse industrial applications.

Molding Line
Automated OMEGA Molding System
SICAST operates a high-end, fully automated OMEGA molding line designed for consistent quality, high repeatability, and efficient throughput.
- Process: Green sand, no-bake sand resin
- Mold size: 550 × 500 × 150/150 (Min) to 2,000 × 1,400 × 550/550 (Max)
- 45 ton/hour sand mixer with auto blend and IRIS auto pattern recognition
- Casting weight range: 25 kg to 5,000 kg
- Floor molding: up to 5 MT / 3 meters (max molding size)

SICAST’s in-house laboratory is a cornerstone of our quality assurance system, built to verify chemistry, mechanical properties, and consistency across every production batch.

Advanced Induction & Arc Furnaces
SICAST operates advanced melting facilities engineered to deliver consistent chemistry and dependable mechanical performance — heat after heat and batch after batch.
- Induction furnaces: 2T, 5T, and 9T with integrated auto-sintering programs
- 5T electric arc furnace
- Metallurgies: gray iron, ductile iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, austenitic and martensitic steels, duplex and super duplex, and nickel-based alloys

Controlled Microstructure & Performance
SICAST operates advanced heat-treatment facilities engineered to deliver controlled microstructure and dependable mechanical performance.
- Two 20T gas-fired furnaces with water, oil, and polymer quenching facilities
- Five 10T gas-fired furnaces for annealing, tempering, and stress-relieving cycles

Non-Destructive Testing
Comprehensive NDT Capabilities
SICAST’s integrated non-destructive testing (NDT) capabilities, backed by qualified personnel and advanced technology, help ensure every casting leaves our facility verified, certified, and ready for extreme-duty performance.
- Magnaflux 6,000 / 10,000 amp magnetic particle testing (dry & wet methods)
- Radiography: cobalt-60 and iridium-192 isotopes with two exposure bunkers
- Dye penetrant inspection cabins and ultrasonic testing
- ANSI Level 2 qualified operators for RT, UT, MT, and VT
- Portable PMI machine available onsite

Green Sand Casting
High-volume production of grey and ductile iron castings up to 500 kg using automated green sand moulding lines. Ideal for valve bodies, pump casings and flanged fittings.
Shell Mould Casting
Resin-coated sand shell moulds for superior surface finish and dimensional accuracy. Used for thin-walled components and complex geometries up to 150 kg.
No-Bake (Furan) Casting
Chemically bonded sand moulds for large, heavy castings up to 2,000 kg. Excellent dimensional stability for pump volutes, large valve bodies and industrial frames.
Lost Foam Casting
Expendable polystyrene patterns for complex internal passages without cores. Reduces machining allowances and eliminates parting-line flash.
Facility & Equipment
Induction Melting Furnaces
2 × 3-tonne and 1 × 5-tonne medium-frequency induction furnaces. Total melting capacity 12,000 tonnes/year.
Automatic Moulding Line
DISA-type high-pressure green sand moulding line. Flask size 800×600×300 mm, 120 moulds/hour.
No-Bake Mixer
Continuous furan resin sand mixer for large moulds up to 3×2×1.5 m.
Shell Moulding Machines
Heated pattern plate shell machines for precision moulds.
Heat Treatment Furnaces
Gas-fired normalising, quench & temper, and stress-relief furnaces. Max temperature 1,100 °C.
CNC Machining Centre
Horizontal boring mill and vertical turning lathe for finish machining of castings up to 1,500 mm diameter.
Spectrometer
Optical emission spectrometer (OES) for rapid chemical analysis of molten metal and finished castings.
